Welcome to the official website of the Ateneo de Manila Comic Collective, an organization dedicated to the appreciation of the art form called "comics", and any related offshoot thereof. That is, our appreciation of comics includes, but is not limited to, Western paper comics (i.e. X-Men, Batman, Spawn, Garfield), animated cartoons (Transformers, The Last Unicorn), internet comics (Sinfest, Elf Life, PvP), video games (Final Fantasy, Mortal Kombat even), and Japanese manga and anime (Dragon Ball, Rurouni Kenshin), among others...

In addition to art appreciation, our members make their own! Fan art, original art, original characters and more--drawn by premier college artists and cartoonists of our time--will be available to browse in our works and comics section.

Stuff Section is Now Existent -- Percival_Brock on January 23, 2002

I'd say the page was "up" but that wouldn't be weird, eh? Anyway, we open the Stuff Section with member reviews and other articles, as well as the Lyndon Gregorio rendition of comicol members.

Noteworthy items are the Culture Crash review and the "What If the X-Men Were Done by Anime Creators?" (to which I added my own entry - it's the last one, you'll know it when you see it)

Speaking of which, I'd like to quote from the latter arcticle:

Masamune Shirow (Ghost in the Shell)- Cable, a sexy mutant cyborg, drives a tank the size of Tokyo. On top of the tank, he poses in skimpy metallic swimsuits. Not much else happens.

New Art and Comics! -- Percival_Brock on December 1, 2001

Professional colorist Jim Imbong (who also happens to be a student of the Ateneo and member of this collective) has sent some prints for public digestion. They are now sitting on the top of the Works page.

"Pennywise" was supposed to appear in GraFic, the comicol 'zine, but the artist scrapped it in favor of a more recent pic, thus it now appears for the viewer at the Comics section.

From the recently-concluded Comicol meeting on November 30, premier comic artist Lyndon Gregorio did a sketch of the members who attended the meeting. Since he's not a memeber of the Comicol, we have no right to put his work in the works page. So here it is, below. 100 points if you name everyone on the drawing!

(Moved to Stuff section.)
