Comic Collective Website Up(07/10/2001)
After a long hiatus, the Ateneo de Manila Comic Collective
Website is now up. The new website features a new "cyber" look
and loads faster than the previous one, thanks in part to a powerfull
new editor, Macromedia Dreamweaver (that's way faster and cleaner than
FrontPage).
The new website will still have the same features as the
old one and will feature not only updates on the org's activities but
also noteworthy news. Member's works will also be featured on the website.
As of now, only the news section is fully up and running,
I'm hoping that by the end of the week, the links will be up as well as
the downloads section. The works and comics section will take quite a
while to put back up since first of all, these things will have to be
dug up from the old archives and some complex coding will have to be done
to be able to make them easily readable on a web based format.
As soon as we get these section working, one of the first works we'd
like to be able to put up would be the "Three Legged Stickboy"
stuff that Patrick's been sending around via Yahoo-groups. Three-Legged
Stickboy which by the way is officially owned by no one other than the
org as a whole and anyone and everyone can do their take on this lovable(?)
character.
Other comics that will be put up are those submitted last year including
Drift, Pennywise and the infamous Untitled work of Patrick
Lauron.
I would also like to take this chance to announce a new webmaster, Micheal
Mark Maquilan will be taking over my job as webmaster once my work here
(starting up, getting the layout's done) is finished. So in the future,
if you have any issues or comments about the site (good ones I hope),
approach him and not me.
