What If the X-Men were made by Anime Creators
(joke being passed around the Core group a year back)

Yoshiyuki Tomino(Original Gundam, Z Gundam, Turn-A Gundam): More angst than usual and most of the characters would die (except for prof. X 'coz he's immortal, or maybe Wolverine). The youngest, cutest and angstiest mutant among them will not want to fight... and Magneto will also drop an asteroid on earth.

Katsuyuki Sumisawa (Gundam Wing): X-men will be made of mostly male pretty boys who have a homicidal streak except for one who happens to be kinda on the fruity side. And Magneto will drop the giant space station Avalon (you know...the one that replaced asteroid M) on Earth this time. (Enzo, Franz)

Also it will feature a really catchy soundtrack from Two Mix and a 3 eps. OAV which later becomes a movie. Also the ending theme features the most annoying female character in that series seriously molesting several animals.

Yasuhiro Imagawa (Giant Robo, G Gundam): Mutant fight!!! Ready? Go!!! (Franz)

Akira Toriyama(Dragonball, Dragonball Z): X-men will be looking for Dragonballs to save world that hates and fears them. Long drawn out battles and the fate of the world hangs in the balance not too mention city wide destruction. Actually not much difference except for city (even planet) wide destruction and Dragonballs and shouting out special moves, and prof. X has to be a Lech. (Enzo)

Go Nagai (Mazinger Z): X-men will be in combining Giant Robots to defeat Dr. Hell and his evil Sentinels. Female X-men will be in Robots that fire Breast Missiles. (Enzo)

Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2): More romance and comedy rather than action. In fact, a lot of comedy. Incidentally, Wolverine gets lost a lot and some of the X-men are victims of the Jusenkyo springs w/c turn them into the ocassional cute pig-tailed girl, cat, duck, panda, black pig(?wolverine?), goddess, crossdresser etc. Alien invasion every other episode. Apocalypse is a short little lecherous old dirty bastard who loves stealing women's underwear (Enzo, Franz)

Watsuki Nobuhiro(Rurouni Kenshin): Exactly the same (he's a big x-men fan)except that there will be cameos of characters from Rurouni Kenshin. Wolverine will have a past with Saito. (Franz)

Hideki Takayama (Urotsukidoji, La Blue Girl):..................do you really want to know?.......................... (Enzo)

Yes! The Sentinels, who are giant robotic dildoes, are being controlled by Senator Kelley, the Overfiend, who's running for the presidency. His campaign motto: size matters. (Tintin)

CLAMP: Ah! Kami-sama! Wolverine gets some height and loses some facial hair. There will be pretty X-boys with a lot of yaoi and yuri implications. Hell, even Prof. X will be a bishonen!!! (Franz)

Shoji Kawamori(Macross Plus): Look, the blackbird transforms into Batroid mode. So do the sentinels! One of the female x-men will also be a pop idol and Kawamori will make a cameo as a rabid fan. (Franz)

Yu Watase(Fushigi): An anoying little girl will get sucked into the comic of the four gods!!! (Franz)

Also, Cyclops and Wolvie have an 'is it/is it not' affair, and Magneto would be blonde, gorgeous, and psychotic -well, more psychotic than he already is. (Tin)

Pioneer(the guys behind Tenchi Muyo, Dual): The most boring, boy next door type mutant will be chased by all the girls! (Franz)

Kia Asamiya: He'd turn it down and do Batman instead(he's a big Batman Fan) (Franz)

But if he does it you can expect that the X-men will be fans of an old 70's superhero show called...Justice Avengers...yeah that's it...Justice Avengers! And they will be fighting the Lucifer Brood from some other world who came to earth because of some disaster caused by Prof. X on Sept. 9, 1999 (9,9,99). And his child (or his adopted child/protege; just to allow at least one plausible X-character i.e. Jean Grey to play that role) will be the final hope to drive away the Lucifer Brood.

Hiroaki Samura (Blade of the Immortal): Wolverine (who's immortal) and Jubilee would go on a quest to avenge her parents' brutal murder. They fight a freaky bunch of ninja muties until they get to the Big Boss, Magneto, who wants to form the Sword School for Gifted Mutants. Wolvie's pretty much the same, except he gets his limbs cut off a lot (Tin)

Kazuma Kodaka (Kizuna)- Magneto rapes Professor X. (Tin)

Anno Hideaki (Evangelion, Kare Kano)- 100% angst. Cyclops, being the cringeing coward that he is, discovers that his entire life has just been a dream and goes insane. All the X-men and their Mutant Eva Units, which are mutated Pokemon, will kill and eat each other. Then the world melts into a sticky, gooey mess.It will of course be directed in Anno's trademark introspective style. The angst will be balanced by the comedy as half the screen is filled with the characters thoughts on other characters.

Model student Jean Grey was doing just fine in school, rising to the top and becoming the most popular mutant on campus, until rich and intelligent Scott Summers arrived... Series will feature lots of humorous moments and introspecting on what exactly is going through Jean Grey's head. And Jean will have two cute little sisters whose voice actresses you will see in the end of each episode as they preview the next one. Ending theme will also feature instead of some animated sequence a normal walk through Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters using a camcorder.

Masamune Shirow (Ghost in the Shell)- Cable, a sexy mutant cyborg, drives a tank the size of Tokyo. On top of the tank, he poses in skimpy metallic swimsuits. Not much else happens.

Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira)- Due to horrific scientific experiments, Jean Grey's psychic powers go berserk. It's the Dark Phoenix Saga all over again, but instead of only one solar system being destroyed, the entire universe is blown up, one planet at a time. The audience's ears ring with the words: TETSUO-O-O! (yes, you can't get away from it). For the climax, Phoenix bloats and becomes a planet-sized ball of flesh. Finally, she pops like a zit. (Christ, this is sick!)

Kondom (Bondage Fairies): All the X-ladies are cute mutant fairies wearing bondage gear. All the X-guys have *feelers* and six legs The comic becomes XXX-Fairies ( you saw that one coming). The movie is the most successful porno flick in history.

Hayao Miyazaki (Mononoke Hime, Nausicaa, Laputa): Rogue, a cute little girl, is trying to save the world by uniting mutants and humans. Lots of exciting character development, until someone figures out that all the world's problems are being caused by environmental degredation. They smile, shake hands, and start planting trees.

Kosuke Fujishima (Ah Megami-sama, You're Under Arrest): After saving the life of a mutant goddess Phoenix, Cyclops is now stuck with her until she finally repays her debt. Her older sister Storm and younger sister Psylocke tag along just to make sure things go according to their plan. What plan? To get Cyclops and Phoenix together of course.

Naoko Takeuchi (Bishojo Senshi Sailormoon): All the X-girls will be in *KAWAII* body hugging Fuku-ish(sailor-ish) outfits. Cyclops will fight in a tuxedo. Gambit will throw roses instead of cards. (Franz)

Ryoichi Ikegami(Crying Freeman): Lot's of underworld mafia references as Xavier and the Crying X-men fight Magnetos mutant mafia. People would kill other people in the nude. Gratiutous sex but it still will be NC 17. (Franz)

Monkey Punch (LupinIII): Follow the adventures of gentleman thief Remy Lebeau III and his X-men as they go through one adventure after another while being chased by incompetent mutant Interpol Defective...I mean...Detective. (Enzo)

Renaissance (Eto Rangers): Jean Grey, who used to be a friend of the X-Men, transforms into the evil Dark Phoenix because she was accused of cheating in a foot race by Professor X. She along with her cohorts called "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" summon evil monsters to destroy fairy tale worlds. It's all up to the X-Men, led by Gambit (who wields a lightsaber) and Cyclops (who, as we find out later in the story actually had a past with Jean Grey) to stop them. The X-Men often consult Professor X who keeps uttering the words "X-Men" while awake. (Mike)
